Students will sort the following into "Safe" or "Not Safe":
go into the house to get candy
use a flashlight
have an adult check your candy
go to a house with a light on
run in the road to the next house
stay with the group
eat candy with no wrapper
don't listen to the adult in charge
watch out for moving cars
Trick or treating safety can be important discussion to have! This helps makes it meaningful yet simple for Kindergarten and First grade! Be sure students have an opportunity to share their thinking in regards to these situations and why they sorted they way the did.
