Fun Halloween Vocabulary Activity! Write a Halloween silly story activity! Use this interactive Halloween PowerPoint to practice parts of speech. Project it on your whiteboard. No copies and no prep. Students can number one through twelve on their own paper and come up with names, nouns, and other parts of speech as per the directions (similar to those Mad Lib stories) and then volunteers read the next slide with their substitutions to make silly Halloween stories.
If you prefer to do this without a screen, I have included hard copies that are print friendly for partners or for individuals, so you have a choice of how you wish to do the activity. The printed version is fun to leave with a substitute lesson plan.
I have added two fun creative drawing sheets for students who finish early to work on. Lots of fun, and students get to use their knowledge of parts of speech as well! Happy Halloween! Great last minute Language Arts Activity my students loved.
