This fun Orff-based Halloween game is a great way to work on Ta, Ti-Ti, and quarter rest rhythms while exploring and improvising on body percussion, unpitched percussion and barred percussion instruments.
With lots of colour Halloween images and rhythms based on Keetman's Rhythm Building Bricks, this game allows for both whole-class and small-group work. Students create word chains with the cards and then perform them with body percussion and instruments. Having the kids put the words into 'inner hearing' helps develop audiation skils.
This .pdf contains four pages of game instructions and suggestions for use, 18 Halloween flashcards without notation, 18 Halloween flashcards with notation, and four sets of colour-coded notation cards with adorable ghost graphics for use in a variety of games.
