Here are 20 Halloween multiplication story problem task cards for students who are just learning multiplication facts. These fun Halloween pictures and word problems are student-friendly – suitable for 2nd and 3rd graders.
The twenty Halloween multiplication task cards contain problems featuring facts from 2’s through 9’s.
All numbers are stated directly except card #18 has an “unstated” number (seven children brought “half a dozen” cookies) so students may need clarification. Card #2 is the only card that includes a 2-step word problem (students must add 3 boys + 3 girls to get 6 kids before multiplying).
Most of these Halloween multiplication cards contain just the basic information needed to solve the story problem, and they are written in a straightforward manner. Other cards are a bit more “wordy” and contain some extra-unnecessary information that can be eliminated.
NOTE: This resource is NOT EDITABLE! However, a page of 4 blank task cards are included for you or your students to and design their own Halloween multiplication word problems – it’s great practice and FUN!
