This is my Halloween version of Beginning Writing: Draw & Write Sentences. It is an artistic approach to writing sentences. I truly hope your students find this to be a fun way of learning to write sentences this Halloween season. Who doesn't love to color and draw?!
*For the beginning sentence writers, students first color in a picture and then complete the sentences using a word bank. The sentences relate to the picture they just colored.
*For the next level of writers, students are given a 3-step picture to hand draw. Once they've drawn their pictures, they build a sentence based on their picture. The sentence is guided with basic prompting questions (What is it? What does it looks like? What is it doing? Where is it?).
*There are a total of 12 student pages: 6 of the first stage (color & sentence completions), and 6 of the second stage (hand draw a picture and write a guided sentence).
*The Halloween objects to draw include: pumpkin, bat, spider, ghost, witch, and Frankenstein.
I hope you and your students enjoy this product!
