• A bat can . . . Writing – complete the sentence frame to tell about something a bat can do. Draw a picture to illustrate the writing.

• A spider is . . . Writing – complete the sentence frame to tell about something a spider is. Draw a picture to illustrate the writing.

• It is Halloween! – write a list of things you can do to celebrate Halloween.

• What I See at Halloween – draw and label four things you see during Halloween.

• Halloween – draw a Halloween picture and write about it.

• Halloween Colors – finish each “I see” sentence frame. Trace the color words.

• I can write Halloween words. – trace the Halloween words. Color the pictures.

• Halloween Book Report – write about a favorite part of a Halloween book.

• Retell a Halloween Story – draw and label a sequence of three events in a Halloween story.

• A Halloween Story – draw and label the main character (who), setting (where), and an event (what) from a Halloween story.

• I read a Halloween animal book. – draw a picture to illustrate the story, and write a response to the question, “Did you like it?”

• My Halloween Costume – draw a picture of your Halloween costume. Trace and complete the sentence frames about your costume.

• Halloween is Fun! – draw a picture of a fun Halloween activity. Trace and finish an ”I like to . . .” sentence.

• A Great Day to Carve a Pumpkin – draw and write about carving a pumpkin.

• Trick or Treat - draw a picture of treats in the trick-or-treat bag. Write what you can do when you go trick or treating.

• Skeleton Facts – draw pictures of 3 facts about skeletons {can also label the pictures}. Trace and complete the sentence frame, “Skeletons are . . .”.

• Funny Bones – draw a picture of a funny skeleton. Complete the frame sentence, “My skeleton is ________________.”

• How to Dress a Witch Booklet – trace words to complete “A witch has a _____________.” frame sentences.

• Witches Brew – draw what you would put in a witches brew. Complete the ”It has ______________.” frame sentence.

• A Bat Story – draw and label the main character (who), setting (where), and an event (what) from a bat story.

• All About BATS – draw and label two facts about bats. Trace and complete the frame sentence, “A bat is ______________________.”.

• What is different and the same about . . . ? – draw and label what is different and the same about bats and cats.

• Writing About Spiders – draw a picture and trace and complete a frame sentence about spiders.

• Spider Facts – draw and label 4 facts about spiders and complete a frame sentence.

• Draw a Halloween Monster – draw a picture of a Halloween monster. Trace and complete a sentence about the monster.

• I see a jack-o-lantern. – make a jack-o-lantern face. Write about the jack-o-lantern.

• I Can Make a Jack-o-Lantern Booklet – Trace sentences and draw the steps in making a jack-o-lantern.

• Writing Center Printables – Halloween themed writing paper and notes to use for open-ended writing activities or at a writing center.
