Halloween/Fall Festival- A full day of Fall Science and Math

This packet is a fully planned day of fall fun! It includes 8 fall/Halloween-themed activities perfect for Halloween/Fall Festival days. Each activity contains a nonfiction article good for highlighting and discussing.

The eight activities include:
-Gummy Bear Science Experiment- Chemical and physical reactions (materials needed: gummy bears, vinegar, water, salt, plastic cups)
-Pumpkin Measurement Investigation and Data Collection- Measurement, Properties of Matter (materials needed: small pumpkins for small groups, knife for teacher, paper towels)
-Skeleton Investigation and Craft- Skeletal system (materials needed: black paper, cotton swabs, glue, scissors)
-Animal Skeleton Investigation- Fossils (materials needed: wax paper, permanent markers)
-Fall Color Investigation and Nature Walk- Earth's processes; measurement; making inferences (materials needed: rulers)
-Launch a mini-marshmallow- STEM problem solving (materials needed: mini marshmallows, tape measure, plastic spoons, wooden skewers)
-Write a poem (No materials)
-Write a riddle (No materials)
