Use with the free download "Hamilton I-Chart Directions." Inquiry-charts, or I-charts are, in my experience, one of the easiest ways to teach students research-based writing skills. Teachers or students choose a question they wish to investigate (in this case, "How historically accurate is the musical Hamilton?") and then break this question into 3 supporting questions. (For example, if examining the title song from the musical, you could break the question into "Where was Hamilton born?", "Who were Hamilton's parents?", and "Where did Hamilton work before coming to NY?" You can use the chart itself as an assessment, or have students take the next step and develop their research into a paper or project. Works great if you are participating in #EduHam
