The project is an engaging, student centered way to get the class to process the differences between Federalists and Republicans in the New Nation era.
Students use a template, Common Core pattern story format to create an 8 page booklet that outlines the differences of the two political parties. Students are required to support their claims with evidence from text or previous assignments.
The set comes with teacher instructions, booklet templates (includes 4 booklet pages on one copy page), rubrics and pictures of an example booklet. On the last page, students defend their own choice of which political party they would have most like aligned. They are required to use key vocabulary in a paragraph response that defends their position.
