This worksheet is comprised of 20 literary devices used in Hamlet
. Students will define each literary term and provide an example from the play (with location).
When I teach Hamlet
in my classroom, I begin by having my students complete the
Hamlet Anticipation Guide
before defining the literary device on this worksheet. Students fill in the examples portion as we read the play. At the end of the unit. I hang up sheets of butcher paper for each literary device, and students write down their own examples. We review them as a class, and I use their examples to test them later.
