Included in this zip file is a 7 page quotation test, asking students to identify the speaker of the quotation and then discuss its significance. They are broken into Acts so the test could be easily broken into five tests/quizzes. There are unique bonus questions at the end of the test as well. An answer key is provided. In addition, I've included a literary analysis essay project. Students will chose one of nine topics to research and write a multi-page literary analysis essay on in MLA format. I've used both the test and the essay prompts in regular and AP classes. What's good about using the essay prompts for AP is that students are so used to being given the prompt instead of just a topic. This gives them the necessary practice of deciding on what they want to write about and thus having to create their own "prompt" and ultimately their own thesis.
