This mini script is an adaptation of Hamlet Act I Scene IV, when Hamlet talks with his father’s ghost on the battlements. The words all belong to Shakespeare. I have edited the scene to include the lines that are easiest for children to speak and understand while still getting the storyline across. A brief synopsis of the play is included to give the context for the scene in the script. Performance time is about six minutes. The cast consists of four characters.
Enjoy having your students read the script aloud….or perform it in a program! Check out the preview!
This mini script is geared for 3rd-5th graders but could be used with middle and high school students as well.
