This is a 50-point test for Shakespeare's Hamlet. The test contains three pages of multiple-choice questions, and one page with four quotes ready for short-answer explication.
The first section asks students to match characters with important features and events. The second section contains multiple-choice questions asking students to identify the meanings of lines, the tone of scenes, and the motivations behind characters' actions. I ask students in the third section to pick three of four provided quotes, and to identify the speaker, situation, and meaning of each quote.
The lettering is set up for standard Scantron sheets. My answer key also includes summarized short answers for the quote explication section.
