This film project requires students to demonstrate critical reading and interpretation skills as they plan and film a scene from the play. Working in groups, students make decisions about the analysis of a text and must decide how best to communicate their interpretation through using film techniques. Although designed for Hamlet, this could work with any major text read. This includes a blank storyboard handout for students to use during planning as well as a rubric and student assignment handout. Also included are sample notes on storyboard ideas which can be shared with students or used as a teacher resource.
