PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Two options have been provided for this fun writing activity. Students are asked to "tweet" in character or to a character while reading Hamlet. This really encourages inference-making and critical thinking skills.

One instruction handout is specific about the number of tweets per act required, whereas the second option leaves it more open for the teacher to decide. Instructions could be distributed to students or posted in the classroom for those teachers with tight printing budgets.

Both handouts include a "Twitter" template for students to use for their tweets (two different templates to choose from).

I always post the "tweets" in the classroom so that our Twitter feed is visible for all to see and so that students can respond to each other.
