One of the best ways to learn is through primary sources! This activity has students reading and analyzing excerpted rules from the Code of Hammurabi. Through this activity, students will consider what life was like for different elements of Babylonian society and use a graphic organizer to help them identify supporting evidence from the Code. The excerpted rules have been modified in places to make the more appropriate to reading level and difficult words have been defined within the text (built-in differentiation!).
