Product Description
Description
Students will research Hammurabi and then determine if he should be viewed as a villain or a hero. Students will use evidence to form an opinion about the controversial, historical figure. Students can gather their evidence from many sources, although I recommend two books that can be found in the public library - "The Life and Times of Hammurabi" by Tamera Bryant and "Hammurabi" by Judith Levin. For their projects, students can work independently or collaboratively. Their project choices include a poster or a dialogue. If students choose to complete the poster, they will include a combination of writing and original illustrations to represent Hammurabi as a hero and villain. If they complete the dialogue, then they will write a detailed and interesting conversation between two people, one who views Hammurabi as a hero and the other who views him as a villain.

Included in the Product
✓ An explanation and list of requirements for both options (poster or dialogue)
✓ A note-taking guide
✓ Two rubrics
