Created for a sixth grade classroom, this activity enables the students to think about how they would create laws to be fair and just. Hammurabi is known for his 282 laws. Students must work in groups to determine consequences for scenarios that occurred in the time of Hammurabi.
Allow students to share their rules, and then explain what Hammurabi would have done. This is engaging, gets students talking, thinking, and analyzing what is right and wrong.
This includes the packet for the kids and an answer key.
