Using hand signals helps eliminate distractions in the classroom. These are the 5 hand signals that we use plus a "Hand signals used here" sign. The signals are as follows:

1 - Pencil
2 - Tissue
3 - Water - this is also the American Sign Language (ASL) sign for water when held to the mouth
R - the sign language 'r' is the first two fingers crossed. This means restroom in ASL as well
