This is a simple, streamlined handout that specifies how to cite Shakespeare's plays and poetry (in fact, it instructs how to cite all poetry / plays. however, this this sheet uses Shakespeare as an example but it can easily be adapted!).
I distribute this handout the first time I teach Shakespeare to a class. I make copies on card-stock so students experience (a bit more) difficulty losing/ wrinkling/ trashing it. My past students tell me they have kept it and used it in their other classes!
All instructional steps include an explanation AND a model of a correctly cited passage. Very helpful :D
