Product Description
Be the first in your school district to teach this concept! Introduce an innovative Physics activity appropriate for any age group -- and few know -- except the patent office (and the Ancient Egyptians...).

The Particular Engine (tm) is a sand (or rice) box activity that simply and playfully introduces newly patented concepts of using particulates (sand and rice) as a motive force. Most appropriate for Preschoolers, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade, it meets the National Science Standards for:

-- Energy/Energy Transfer
-- Forces
-- Models
-- Scientific Inquiry

Discussion questions and glossary are included for these new concepts. Did the Ancient Egyptians use this method to move and erect the Obelisks? Only time will tell.

Until then, dig in the rice, sand, flour, sugar, oatmeal, and other particulates with this activity. Brush away deductive prejudices, and get hands-on fun playing with flowing, inquiry-based enticement.

PS: Other activities are available upon request, culminating in an Ancient Egyptian extravaganza where aspiring engineers can compete to move and erect their own obelisks (High school to College level). For videos and more info, go to http://particularconcepts.com.
