This is a great hands-on learning tool for investing. I use this in my Personal Finance course to help visual learners. This file includes 13 saving/investment types listed on cards. See preview for example.
Students will use the principal of risk vs. return to assemble an investment pyramid. Students should compare and contrast the risk and return for each savings or investment vehicle.
Print a set of the cards for the class or for each group on card stock. Laminate to make the cards last for years to come. My favorite way to use the cards is to give each table (group of 4) a set of cards and have them race to see which group can properly assemble the pyramid the quickest. Included in this file is a key for checking answers.
