Description

These phonics reading mats are a great hands on activity for students to practice reading and blending different phonic sounds. Read CVC words, CVCe words, digraphs, blends and vowel teams with these mats.

What is Included:

Pages 2-67 These are the sound cards. There are 4 cards for each sound.

Page 68 is a road mat for a hands on blending activity.

Pages 69-70 are recording sheets for sorting real and nonsense words.

Page 71 is for students to choose a word, draw a picture showing the word and write a sentence using the word.

Pages 72-79 are reading mats for 2, 3, and 4 part words.

How to Use:

Print each set of cards on different colored card stock (beginning sounds on one color, vowels on another color and ending sounds on a third color). Place each set of cards face in on the mats in the right order. Have the student read the word made. Record the word on one of the recording sheets. Have the student move 1 card from 1 of the stacks to make a new word. (See Video Preview)
