Students sit in classrooms day after day working difficult, theoretical math problems. Often, they fail to see the relevance or how to connect the problem solving skills they are learning to real-life situations. Teachers provide them with an abundance of textbooks, workbooks, and worksheets – all of which are repetitious and sometimes monotonous. The purpose of this booklet is to get students out of their seats and to take an active approach to leaning math skills. This workbook requires students to physically take part in the gathering of data, measuring distances, and charting outcomes. Hopefully, it will motivate students and make learning fun.
