Here you have 5 fun and engaging resources to develop a hands-on project related to castles.
The first file consists of a template to make a castle (It’s tabloid size (A3) and I recommend you print it on cardboard.) and 9 medieval characters, this material is designed to:
- speak, developing stories where the characters can interact actively and meaningfully.
- imagine, scenarios and possible and creative situations.
- create, interminable games between the characters and the situations that each one can think of.
20 language worksheets, for first readers, are very simple and easy to understand related to castles and medieval characters. Ready to print, in white and black.
I have also included 10 jpg files of the characters in black and white, so you can be able to elaborate if you consider necessary, printables or some other worksheet that you can think of that can enrich the development and organization of your project.
The next resource included are 3 story cubes, to talk and write.
In each of the cubes, there are 6 drawings.
The first cube contains 6 medieval characters (the queen, the sorcerer, the peasant, the jester, the dragon and the knight)
The second cube contains 6 objects (a flower, a shield and a sword, a crown, a cup, a trident and a carrot)
The third cube contains 6 places (a house, a castle, the sky, the village, the tower and the forest)
These cubes are intended to be used as storytelling support, the idea is to roll the dice and orally recounting a short story incorporating the new elements that come up by rolling the dice successively.
This download also includes 5 worksheets to develop writing, encourage it to be creative, original, imaginative.
8 pdf's to create 8 mega posters, 4 in color and 4 in black and white.
The images are related to the hands-on project the castle. There is a dragon, knight, lady knight and a castle.
This can be a collaborative work in which your entire class can actively participate, thus promoting teamwork and creativity.
Especially in mega posters that are in black and white and are intended for children to paint, with watercolors, crayons or markers. You can decorate or paste colored papers or use a little glitter. The possibilities are many.
Mega posters in color can be a good element to decorate your class or to make a great photo call.
And finally you will find 10 A4 (letter) sheets, each sheet contains 6 mats to count.
The idea is to print the ten sheets, cut and laminate.
Each mat has a certain number of things related to the castles (castle, princess, knight, dragon, sword and crown) on the bottom has 3 numbers between 1 and 10.
The child must count the number of objects search for the number and indicate it with a marker or with some clothes pegs.
