A hands-on activity where students square numbers to create a pyramid. They may use any square-like, stackable objects such as dice or blocks. They can also use something fun like mini marshmallows or mini Reese cups! (These are harder to stack but allow for Plan B's for figuring out to keep the layers in place.)
This activity is three pages. The first page is an activity guide. The second page is a worksheet to fill out the plan for building the pyramid as well as a chart for squaring numbers. The third page is an answer key.
My students had fun with this--hopefully yours will too!! Thanks for checking out Mathchips!
