These books are similar to
The OLD LADY who swallowed series. (All of the old lady books are now listed.)
There are 6 of them by Jennifer Ward are now listed..

Each contain a page for sequencing, small pictures for the students to cut and words. (You can make a class set of these and have the students do them as a review, assessment, take a grade, or just show their understanding of sequencing.)

Also included are the larger pictures for the students to use during the class read aloud, use on the felt board, etc. (Just add Velcro to the back and it works well on the felt board.) You can also use the words to help increase their vocabulary.

Several ways to use this:
1. Match the words to the large pictures.
2. Use the pictures (and/or words) to retell the story.
3. Have students hold up the pictures (and/or words) while reading the story.
4. Have the students write the words in the circles, then glue the pictures on top of them. Use just a drop of glue, so that the picture flips up and you can see the word under it. (I will add a picture of this ASAP). Glue the coyote at the top, above the circles.


This author has other books that are great for sequencing.

Also, the series, “There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed…” is great for sequencing too. “If You Give A….” is another series. I have activities to go with these books too.
