Students love “fun” handshakes and greeting people in this way builds relationships. Play a few rounds of this 5-minute speed-game to break the ice at parties or get to know each other in the classroom. I've played this game with 6-year-olds and 26-year-olds. Great for all ages!
How to Play:
Sort class into groups of any size (4-15 people per group works well). Invite them to stand in a circle. Give each student a stack of 12 cards. Students stand in a circle and hold their stack upside down. Everyone plays at the same time. Flip the first card, find someone with a matching card, and perform the action. Then, throw the card in the center of the circle and move on to the next. The first person to get rid of their cards wins! At the end, sort the cards back into their original stacks and play again.
Involves printing and cutting - instructions included.
