Do your little sweeties struggle with fine motor skills as much as mine do?! This pack (one of seven fine motor/handwriting/beginning letter id packs) was created to engage students in a hands-on approach to handwriting while allowing them the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills and letter identification.
With this pack, students will use clothes pins to identify the focus letter. First, students will find the pictures that begin with the focus letter sound. They will choose the clothes pins that have the focus letter on them and clip them to the matching picture that begins with that sound. Next, students will practice their handwriting of the letter (both capital and lowercase) by tracing the letter already printed on the line. Last, students will write the letter using their neatest handwriting. I have my darlin’s write the focus letter 5 times on their own making sure to practice their finger spacing in between letters.
This resource combines three skills in one simple task that can be used for early finishers, whole group and small groups as well as RTI!
Check out my bundle which includes all 7 fine motor/handwriting resources and an added bonus...exit slips!
