Handwriting practice can be fun! This no prep bundle is proof of that! This is a BUNDLE of my fourHappy Handwriting packs. Please note, there is a print and cursive version of each pack. The print version and corresponding cursive versions contain the same facts and jokes.
Have you ever had a student who knows how to correctly form their letters, but doesn’t always take their time and write their neatest? What about the student who often forgets capitals, punctuation, and misspells words that are right in the text?
Well, I’ve had those students too, and that’s why I came up with my happy handwriting series! I found that these students tend to write messy or make errors because they were rushing to get done and weren’t being careful.
What would make my students take their time and be more careful?
How about some funny jokes and interesting animal facts?
How to use:
This pack is NO PREP meaning you can just print, copy, and go. I’d recommend copying back-to-back to save paper.
EACH PACK INCLUDES:
Alphabet Letter Formation Pages:
One page for each letter of the alphabet and a page for ! and ? as well.
50 Handwriting Pages:
Have the students carefully copy the jokes, making sure to include all punctuation, correct spelling, and neat handwriting. Remind students to double check their work. In the corner of each page is a smiley face. Once students hand in their page, you can check their spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and handwriting. If they got everything correct, you can color the smiley face green, if they made a few errors, circle the errors and color the smiley face yellow, and if they made a lot of errors, circle the errors and color the smiley face in red. Allow students to go back and correct any errors. Once all errors are fixed, they can take their page home and practice their joke telling skills! I always told my students they couldn’t take their jokes home until they were perfect, so they always tried their best!
Joke Handwriting packs also include:
Roll a Joke Pages:
Students roll a die to create their joke. Each time they roll, they can color in the box number they land on. When they’re done, they can neatly write their silly joke question, and then they are challenged to come up with a funny punchline. These are a great early finisher activity and work well placed in a plastic sleeve to use over and over.
As always, my goal is to make teaching a breeze!
