This resource offers handwriting instruction and letter formation practice to young students. As one of many products in the Handwriting Help for Kids program, it is evidence-based and developed by occupational therapist, Lisa Marnell.

Younger children are not ready to compose sentences independently. Scaffolding is an ideal way to build a child’s skills. Start with simple writing tasks (copying letters) and scaffold to more challenging tasks as a child’s competency grows. Over time kids become more skilled.

"Letter and Word Practice" aligns with all of the LEARN LETTERS Kindergarten Handwriting products. Because development of handwriting skills depends on learning proper letter formation, the pages are designed to guide and scaffold children’s building skills. Make these practice pages available to students as they write sentences and words!
