Do your little sweeties struggle with fine motor skills as much as mine do?! This pack (the fourth of six fine motor/handwriting/beginning letter id packs) was created to engage students in a hands-on approach to handwriting while allowing them the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills and letter identification.
With this pack, students will use a tweezers and pom poms to fill in the focus letter. Students will, first, use tweezers to pick up individual pom poms and fill in the focus letter with them. Next, students will practice their handwriting of the letter by tracing the letter already printed on the line. As my students are doing this, I have them practice saying the letter name and sound out loud to themselves or to a partner. Last, students will practice writing the letter on their own remembering to follow the correct letter formation.
This resource combines three skills in one simple task that can be used for early
finishers, whole group and small groups as well as RTI!
