Hi there sweet friends!
Do your little sweeties struggle with fine motor skills as much as mine do?! This pack (the sixth of six fine motor/handwriting/beginning letter id packs) was created to engage students in a hands-on approach to handwriting while allowing them the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills, letter identification and handwriting.
With this pack, students will use scissors to create a flip-flap book. Students will, first, cut out the flip-flap book, cutting along the dotted lines around the outside as well as on the flaps. Next, students will practice their handwriting of the letter by tracing the letter already printed on the line. As my students are doing this, I have them practice saying the letter name and sound out loud to themselves or to a partner. Last, they will practice writing the focus letter on their own using their best handwriting.
This resource combines three skills in one simple task that can be used for early finishers, whole group and small groups as well as RTI!
Be sure to check out my handwriting/fine motor bundle for more resources like this one!!
