This self checking game contains solving the six basic functions exactly using the unit circle as well as using a calculator to estimate. Also, it reviews some right triangle trigonometry using the coordinate plane given either an ordered pair or a value. The students guess a letter and work the problem associated with that letter. They then check the solution on the puzzle page. If their solution is not on the page, they should draw a body part on the gallows. They try not to get hung before the puzzle is solved.
This format makes the students check their work before admitting they've guessed a wrong letter. They do not want to lose. My students really enjoyed this format of puzzle.
