Sometimes the best classroom management techniques are the simplest.
NOISE letters help students (and the teacher) monitor their own noise level during group and partner activities by providing an easy visual aid. The teacher will take down a letter if the class becomes too loud during an activity while reminding them of the expectations. If the class gets down to NO, this means no more noise and a change in the activity.
This classroom management technique is easy to use, holds the students accountable for noise expectations, and helps the teacher maintain a consistent and fair classroom routine.
