This Common Core reading literature unit based on the book Happy Birthday Moon by Frank Asch. This unit includes vocabulary, fluency, comprehension (inferential and text-based) questions, asking questions, vocabulary cards, mentor text sentences CCSS language standards, retell frames, summarizing, opinion writing and narrative writing. It supports Common Core Standards and was created using them! It includes differentiated pages to help multiple levels. I use this unit to teach my reading literature block,. All CCSS standards are labeled in the unit so it will be easy to write content objectives. I hope this is helpful!
