PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a huge resource pack linked to the theme of Happy Caterpillar. The resources are adapted to help promote sentence building and language structure as well as math and english activities.

The bundle includes the following activities;

Counting Book (21 pages)
Six box sentence building book. 'On Saturday he ate one sausage' 'On Friday he ate five oranges' etc.

This is a higher level sentence building book. The symbols are included at the end of the publisher document.The symbols need to be cut out individually, laminated and velcroed at the back. Also laminate the pages. Bind to make into a book. On the back of the page in front place a strip of velcro with the words for that sentence on, when open as a book, the pupil will choose the symbols from the left page to place on the right page. As student(s) become more aware, mix up the words to see if they can select in the correct order.

Counting Food Book (11 pages)
Two box sentence building book, to be printed and cut in half so that it makes a 1/2 page size book.

This is a lower level sentence building book but also includes numeracy as the child is having to count and use numbers. The symbols are included at the end of the publisher document. Use same layout as above book.

Food Book 4 box (1) (9 pages)
Four box sentence building book. 'Caterpillar ate one apple' etc.

This is a higher level sentence building book but also includes numeracy as the child is having to count and use numbers. The symbols are included at the end of the publisher document. At the end of the document is a page divided into 4 parts. Laminate this and velcro it and place the symbols in the correct order on here i.e (1; caterpillar 2; ate 3; one 4;apple). Students have this next to them when completing activity to choose correct symbols from that is relevant to page and in correct sentence building order.

Food Book 4 box (2) (10 pages)
Four box sentence building book. 'Caterpillar ate one apple' etc.

This is a higher level sentence building book but also includes numeracy as the child is having to count and use numbers. The symbols are included at the end of the publisher document. At the end of the document is a page divided into 4 parts. Laminate this and velcro it and place the symbols in the correct order on here i.e (1; caterpillar 2; ate 3; one 4;apple). Students have this next to them when completing activity to choose correct symbols from that is relevant to page and in correct sentence building order.

Symbol Reading Book (14 pages)
The hungry caterpillar book with pictures at the top but also with symbols and wording instead of just words to encourage students to read the book using symbols too.

Matching Boards (2 pages/2 activities)
Print two copies of each slide. Laminate one copy as a 'board' this will be your base, cut out the pictures on the other copy, laminate these. Use as a matching game. This is one of the lower levels of our non-verbal literacy scheme and is one of the starting points.

Detail Matching Boards (4 pages/4 activities)
Print two copies of each slide. Laminate one copy as a 'board' this will be your base, cut out the pictures on the other copy, laminate these. Use as a matching game. This will encourage students to pay more attention to detail to see if they are able to notice small differences.

Direction Matching Boards (4 pages/4 activities)
Print two copies of each slide. Laminate one copy as a 'board' this will be your base, cut out the pictures on the other copy, laminate these. Use as a matching game. This will encourage students to pay more attention to detail to see if they are able to notice differences in directions.

Sequencing Boards (3 pages/3 activities)
Print two copies of each slide. Laminate one copy as a 'board' this will be your base, cut out the pictures on the other copy, laminate these. Use as a matching game. This will encourage students to pay close attention to details in sequencing. This also encourages height difference recognition in letters (for example tall;short;tall is like ;dad, lad; bud etc.)

Sequencing Colors (3 pages/3 activities)
Print two copies of each slide. Laminate one copy as a 'board' this will be your base, cut out the pictures on the other copy, laminate these. Use as a matching game. This will encourage students to pay close attention to details in sequencing, color recognition etc.

Numeracy Boards (8 pages/4 activities)
Print one copy of each slide. Laminate one copy (your choice whether you want to use numbers as the base or pictures as the base). Then cut out the pictures/numbers on the other page, laminate these. Use as a matching game. Students will count the dots on each different fruit from the story and match the corresponding number to this.

Laminate 1st and 3rd page as board. Cut out circles on 2nd page and laminate/velcro. Match the circles to the caterpillars on worksheet,means it is re-usable for future.
