These monthly word work centers were created to provide students with engaging, hands-on learning activities. The centers allow for you to introduce and/or review basic concepts that have been taught throughout the year to include short/long vowels, word blending, dictionary skills, parts of speech, manipulating letters to make words, and identifying pairs of rhyming words. These can also be used as intervention strategies or remedial instruction for struggling students.
Each center activity includes a cover sheet for a file folder, manipulative cards, and printable worksheets to check for understanding of each concept. For the dictionary skills center, you will need a dictionary, which I’m sure you already have on hand.
Included in March Word Work Centers:
-short or long vowels word sort
-blend with a friend making words
-dictionary skills using March words
-parts of speech, adjectives vs. adverbs
-mystery words, unscramble the letters to make words
-rhyme time memory match, find pairs of rhyming words
I am in the process of creating word work centers for each month. Become a follower and you’ll be notified as each center is available and receive freebie notifications as well!
