Happy Habit: Be Thankful 5 Pack

Description
The purpose of the 5 Pack is to help kids practice this happy habit in ways they learn best – through hands-on experiences, repetition, play and creativity.
Being Thankful comes from noticing the little things everyday and everywhere. Here’s how each printable in this 5 Pack helps:
Today I am GRATEFUL for
Asks kids to reflect on 2 things they feel thankful for and why. These things could be from their life in general or from their day. Only 2 things because listing things we feel thankful for is less effective than really experiencing the feelings these things provoke. And including the WHY because the more detailed we are about what we are thankful for, the easier it is for us to connect with our feelings. This activity gets kids NOTICING the things all around them.
YOU'RE GOOD AT Lots Of Things
Has kids reflect on what they're good at, choose one thing and imagine how they can use that one skill or talent to benefit others. So much happening here; NOTICE strengths, build self-esteem, cultivate gratitude and spread kindness, all while being creative.
Someone SPECIAL
Gets kids thinking about the special people in their lives. Choosing one to focus on and describing that person using the letters of their name encourages kids to consider more deeply what they appreciate and admire. This builds gratitude as well as insight.
What are your FAVOURITE THINGS?
Consist of 7 questions for kids. It reminds them to NOTICE the things they prefer, like their favourite colours and foods and books and then to remember to see them and appreciate them in their everyday lives. This gets kids thinking about and NOTICING things from the inside out.
BE THANKFUL COLOURING SHEET
Builds a strong visual relationship with the happy habit of Being Thankful. This is a colour-to-learn strategy that helps kids make visual associations with key ideas, assimilate information slowly while engaging in a form of kinesthetic learning.

Each and every sheet has a hidden Happy Face emoji for kids to find.
