Happy Habit: Eat Real Food 5 Pack

Description
The purpose of the 5 Pack is to help kids practice this happy habit in ways they learn best – through hands-on experiences, repetition, play and creativity.
Eating Real Foods teaches kids the importance of nourishing their brains and bodies with real whole fruits + veggies everyday. Here’s how each printable in this 5 Pack helps:
EAT the Rainbow
Gives kids four spaces for their favourite different coloured fruits or veggies. This gets them thinking about the REAL FOODS they already know and love to eat. This can prompt conversations about including them often and why.
CREATE your PLATE
Challenges kids to identify 5 different coloured REAL FOODS they can add to their plate; another great challenge for learning about food and starting conversations about healthy and balanced eating practices.
FRUIT or VEGGIE?
Is a simple way to introduce kids to a variety of different REAL FOODS by learning about which category they're in (fruit or veggie). Great extensions include: what are your favourites (and least), where does each come from (ground, vine, bush or tree), what do you think should have made the list (or not), circle 2 fruits and 2 veggies you could eat tomorrow...
I SPY Real Food
Consists of REAL and NOT-SO-REAL foods for kids to explore. Instead of "good" and "bad", this gets kids learning about food in a more healthful way, leading to conversations and education about a balanced approach to eating (i.e. eat way more REAL than NOT-SO-REAL everyday ... and why this is important).
EAT REAL FOOD COLOURING SHEET
Builds a strong visual relationship with the happy habit of Eating Real Food. This is a colour-to-learn strategy that helps kids make visual associations with key ideas, assimilate information slowly while engaging in a form of kinesthetic learning.
A Little Bonus Fun:
Each and every sheet has a hidden Happy Face emoji for kids to find.
