A set of colorful open-end game cards that you can use for a variety of games and activities. These cards focus on basic number recognition and quantity concept knowledge. However, the games can be used as a reinforcement activity to supplement any other target skills you are working on with your students.
Split the deck in half and give one pile to each player/team. Both players turn a card over. The person who has more wins the round. If the numbers are the same (equal), then the player place 3 cards face down in the middle and turn over a 4th card. The person with the higher number wins all 10 cards. The player who gets all the cards (or who has more at end of game session) wins!
2. ADD ‘EM UP (*Good for reinforcement activity)
Players take turns picking 2 cards and adding the numbers together. The sum is the number of points they collect for that turn. The player with the most points at the end of the game session wins!
3. GO FISH
Shuffle deck and pass out 5 cards to each player. Players take turns asking for a number (e.g. Do you have a 3?). If the other player doesn’t have the card, they say “Go Fish!”. The player then gets to pick a card from the pile. The player with the most matches at the end of the game session wins!
