This is a PowerPoint game that uses Pie Face! to encourage students to review working with pi. We used it on Pi Day and the 7th graders loved it. This version includes area and circumference of circles, volume and surface area of cylinders, and volume of cones. Students work in groups of 3 to work out problems. If they are correct they may choose to play Pie Face! for bonus points. If they are wrong they must explain what they did wrong after seeing the correct answer. They will lose a point or may choose to play Pie Face! for a chance to not loose the point. A pie in the face is the only way to earn points when playing the Pie Face! game, so not every team will earn the bonus point. There are 20 questions with the answers. We played in rounds making sure each team was allowed to answer a question and play Pie Face!, but no one was forced to play Pie Face! Overall, the students had a great time and worked hard to get the answers. It was a great success! We changed some of the harder questions to accommodate the 7th grade curriculum.
