Kids LOVE learning to sign. I have used sign language in my classroom for years. By the end of the year, all my kids know the alphabet thanks to this spelling practice activity. Sign language is wonderful for kinesthetic learners. Each worksheet shows the spelling words written out using the sign language alphabet. There is a code on the bottom where students can match the formation of the hand to the letter. They write their words on the lines. When they are finished, they practice fingerspelling their words. This is a great activity for early finishers because it comes with a built-in follow-up activity. Students can also fingerspell the words to their friends and they read them. Spelling, reading, and signing! My favorite spelling activity! This set includes the entire first grade Harcourt Trophies reading series.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO CREATE THIS FOR ANOTHER SPELLING LIST, PLEASE SEND ME A NOTE ON THE Q & A SECTION OF MY STORE!
