This is a Great introductory lab for minerals. My students really seem to struggle to understand the difference between rocks and minerals, so I started having them complete this simple lab investigation to help them learn. The materials needed are probably already in your classroom, so the preparation is Very easy! Have fun!
Materials needed: Glass plate/slide, iron nail, vinegar, magnet, streak tile, magnifying glass and mineral samples (at least 5).
The designed PDF can be enjoyed they way it is, but a more straight forward editable word doc is included as well.
