It is best to teach soft c and soft g on separate days. The activities in these supplementary lessons are designed to be used for hard and soft g. You can use these materials as sorting by flashcards, oral drills, folder lessons as depicted on the cover or mount words to magnets for center activities. Because they are reproducible you can easily copy for practice at home with parents. Adjust the wording and materials, depending on whether you are teaching lower or upper grades. The words are also useful in building word knowledge, word recognition and vocabulary.
Word sorting activities are a great way to practice important phonics skills!
~You will receive 77 pages with 55 pages of flashcards, a set of heading Hard and Soft G cards for organizing a table sort, and smaller individual word cards and picture/word cards for independent practice. There are several formats of sorting reproducible pages and a reading passage for older elementary readers. Comprehension can be checked through a multiple choice sentence page.
