Population Genetics: The Hardy Weinberg Principle. In this lab, three human genetic traits will be observed in a population. Students will conduct a random sample to determine the frequency of the alleles in the population using the Hardy Weinberg equation. No materials are required other than pencil, paper, and calculator. This lab is the perfect bridge between your genetics and evolution units.
