Students will choose a poem and a piece of visual art from the Harlem Renaissance and present the similarities between the two to their classmates.

Students will be expected to discuss how historical context influences poetry, visual arts, and other art forms; how an artist’s perspective influences his/her art; and how common themes are represented in a variety of art forms.
