Research the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s during Black History Month! Students will engage in the research process as they choose one famous person of the Harlem Renaissance to research and analyze.
Students will write a research paper that summarize the time period and life of the person. They will then analyze the themes represented during this time.
This product comes complete with 3 weeks worth of lesson plans, handouts, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each learner. The research essay has sentence frames for every paragraph.
It is geared towards 8th grade standards, but could be used in both 7th grade or in high school.
