Harrison Bergeron is a favorite of students, both as a captivating sci-fic short story -- and as a satire which offers food for thought on the concept of equality in our society. However, without careful pre-reading, students don't always grasp the powerful concept Vonnegut is trying to convey.
This pre-reading brainstorm activity challenges students to explore the concept of equality before jumping into the text. It is double-sided, and includes four separate activities. This makes for an excellent small group activity and generates plenty of classroom discussion afterwards!
This resource was designed to partner with the rest of the materials in my Harrison Bergeron Bundle.
Both the PDF and editable Word doc are attached in this download for your convenience.
