Harry Potter is a subject that so many kids love, especially 5th graders and middle school students. Though it was designed for 5th grade, it can be easily modified for 6th-8th grade. This unit uses the magical world to teach a variety of geometry concepts. There are two weeks of lessons, including a unit test and all the handouts. Let the students figure out how large the Quidditch balls would need to be for pixies and fairies or for giants. Let them look for shapes in Diagon Alley.
